Mmakgabo Tania Lefika
Founder & Executive Director
Originally from Limpopo, South Africa, and now based in Utah, USA, Mmakgabo brings over 20 years of caregiving experience and a lifelong passion for holistic wellness, community service, and purposeful living.
A yoga instructor, herbal enthusiast, and homesteading advocate, she embraces the connection between nature, movement, nourishment, and well-being. From growing and preserving food to preparing traditional herbal blends, her approach to wellness is deeply rooted in practical knowledge, cultural traditions, and everyday living.
Through Love and Light Wellness, she combines these passions to champion senior wellness, caregiver support, wellness education, and community outreach, building meaningful connections between communities in the United States and South Africa.
Her guiding belief is that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Ambrose Padi
Director of Compliance & Administration | South Africa
Ambrose plays an important role in supporting the administrative and regulatory compliance responsibilities of Love and Light Wellness in South Africa.
A man of faith with a strong commitment to integrity and service, he contributes his time and dedication to helping the organization maintain a responsible and accountable foundation.
His commitment to the mission of Love and Light Wellness supports the organization’s growth and its ability to serve communities with professionalism, compassion, and purpose.
Khunedi Silas Mogodi
Director of Community Programs & Partnerships | South Africa
Khunedi Silas Mogodi is an experienced educator and multidisciplinary professional with expertise in community development, literacy education, financial management, labour relations, and organizational leadership.
His professional background includes coordinating the E-Library KiBooks Project in Limpopo and supporting reading development initiatives associated with Oxford University Press. His experience in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and community leadership brings valuable insight to the mission of Love and Light Wellness.
As Director of Community Programs & Partnerships, Silas supports the development of meaningful relationships with local organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders. His role contributes to coordinating outreach initiatives and expanding opportunities to support seniors and underserved communities across South Africa.
Silas believes in the power of education, collaboration, and community participation to create lasting positive change.
Martina Hlapyadi Mathiba
Compliance & Operations Coordinator | South Africa
Martinah Hlap yadi Mathiba is a compliance specialist, IT graduate, published author, and creative professional with a diverse background in business administration, regulatory compliance, and organizational support.
As the founder of a private consultancy, she has experience assisting small businesses, NGOs, and nonprofit organizations with compliance requirements, administrative systems, and operational processes. Her additional background in education, writing, and information technology brings a valuable combination of technical and creative skills.
At Love and Light Wellness, Martinah contributes her expertise to supporting organizational compliance, documentation, administrative coordination, and effective operational practices in South Africa.
Her commitment to professional excellence, community service, and organizational development reflects the values that guide Love and Light Wellness.
Adrian Duncan
Accountant & Financial Advisor | United States
Adrian Duncan is an accounting and financial services professional and the founder of Trojan Accounting Inc., bringing expertise in accounting, tax planning, financial management, and business advisory services.
Since the very beginning of Love and Light Wellness, Adrian has been a trusted financial advisor and a steadfast supporter of the organization’s vision. Through its early challenges and milestones, he has remained committed to providing professional guidance, encouragement, and financial insight.

Optometrist | Community Eye Health Partner – South Africa
Rita Teka is a dedicated optometrist in South Africa whose passion for eye health and community service aligns with the mission of Love and Light Wellness.
As one of our valued partners in the Reading Glasses Initiative, Rita brings professional knowledge and guidance to our efforts to support seniors in underserved communities. Her involvement helps us promote responsible distribution of reading glasses, vision awareness, and access to appropriate eye care.
